Boosting you to the next level

Havas Boost?

What is

Havas is fully committed to its ongoing goal of making a positive impact on the world: on people, on brands and on businesses.

We understand there’s enormous potential among less advantaged and under-represented groups and we’re doing everything in our power to realise that potential through the Havas Boost programme.

Through our research, we discovered 8 out of 10 of these groups felt their circumstances prevented them from entering the business world, while 79% saw a lack of funding and mentorship as barriers to their success.

Boost is a programme designed to help dream makers, trail blazers and game changers from less advantaged and under-represented groups realise their dreams through investments, mentorship, and consulting.

We couldn’t be more excited to relaunch the initiative in the North West of England this year.

Havas Boost is an initiative to help talented people from less advantaged backgrounds break down barriers and make their mark on the world.

Boost has three distinct offerings:

We’re supporting entrepreneurs from less advantaged backgrounds who want to make a positive impact on the world.

We’re helping people from less advantaged backgrounds enter the media and advertising sector.

We’re providing marketing resources to charities and causes we believe in.

last year’s winner

The first iteration of Havas Boost saw Havas Media Network back Ambessa Play, a startup business founded by Sara Berkai, that builds educational STEM kits for children. We invested £150k into the business, which was deployed across a marketing budget, media spend and analytics. We also supported Ambessa Play in creating a campaign to support her kickstarter launch – which was a big success.

The Havas Boost programme enabled Sara Berkai (founder) to pursue her business as a full-time job and provided access to Havas Media Network’s wide range of marketing and creative resources.

"I have a good understanding of the education and benefits side of the business, but this needs to be a profitable running business and I didn't know anything about advertising."
